Public Exchanges With the Candidates ObjectiveThis web page summarizes my exchanges with the other candidates running to represent California’s 36th Congressional district. The first letter invited the candidates to participate in an open debate. The letter raised three questions: · What are the greatest problems that America faces today? · What are your solutions? · What do you think of the other candidates’ issues and solutions? I proposed that we post these exchanges on our websites, enabling you to view our positions, side-by-side, at any time in the campaign. You can then assess how each of us uses the opportunity to engage each other. Then use the website to provide your feedback to the candidates, the press and civic groups. ChronologyThe table below is a record of public exchanges of letters and emails to the candidates. It will be updated throughout the campaign. To view an entire letter or email, click its date. A Microsoft Word-formatted letter will appear for each outgoing letter.
